About My Macro Photography

How did it begin?

how I got into raising moths and jumping spiders

Let me to give a brief overview. In 2020, I received my first macro lens, followed shortly by my very first jumping spider named Zebby, a Hyllus diardi. At that time, my arachnophobia and fear of moths, bees, and other insects were quite strong. However, I couldn't resist the beautiful eyes of jumping spiders. I embarked on a journey to confront and overcome my fears. Macro photography and caring for these spiders not only supported my mental well-being but also deepened my appreciation of small insects. I eventually decided to raise moths and fell in love with the deaths head moth!

Sharing cute videos

I began sharing my macro photography on Instagram and noticed a significant interest in the detailed close-ups of spiders and moths, which many people had not previously encountered. I expanded to TikTok and Youtube, creating videos that highlight their fascinating characteristics and dispel common misconceptions about their perceived scariness. Among these, the feeding videos featuring the deaths-head hawk moth have been the most popular!
