Moths

*I have raised numerous species of moths, but my favourite is the Death's-Head Hawk Moth (Acherontia atropos)

This species is renowned for the distinctive skull-like pattern on its thorax. Among the three species within this genus, Acherontia atropos is the most well-known. These moths are primarily found in parts of Europe, Africa, and Asia, and they can also be found in the UK. In captivity, they require assistance with feeding and have a lifespan of up to six weeks. Additionally, they produce the cutest squeak!

Giant Hooded Katydid

Giant Hodded Katydids are the most interesting invert I have ever raised! An adult katydid will live for around a year and primarily eat leaves such as bramble, oak, rose, hawthorn & more. I also feed them fresh fruits and veggies such as strawberries, apples, raspberries, cucumbers and carrots.

*I currently have 7 Katydids! and hopefully babies due soon!

Mantis

*I used to have over 13 species of Mantis but now I am raising only 4. Ghost mantis (Phyllocrania paradoxa) - A species of praying mantis native to Africa. Renowned for its extraordinary camouflage, the ghost mantis resembles dry, twisted leaves, providing excellent concealment from predators. The ghost mantis is relatively small and displays a calm and docile temperament. It thrives in warm, humid environments and primarily feeds on small insects

Eresus sp. balcanicus, Ladybird spider - A species of velvet spider  known for its striking appearance, it typically displays a black body adorned with bright red or orange markings. These spiders inhabit grasslands and open woodlands, where they construct silk-lined burrows. Eresus sp. balcanicus is nocturnal and feeds primarily on insects.

Caribena versicolor - commonly known as the Antilles pinktoe tarantula, a beautiful species of tarantula native to the Caribbean islands, particularly Martinique. Known for its vibrant metallic blue and green. They thrive in humid, warm environments and requires a vertical enclosure to accommodate its climbing habits.
